FAQ

What is Arcanium?

We are a team of passionate designers, makers, and nerds on a quest to make innovative, beautiful furniture and accessories for the hobbyist in all of us. Find out more about us here.

Where does the name “Arcanium” come from?

“Arcanium” refers to a fictitious crystal capable of storing vast quantities of magic, invented in the home-brewed Dungeons and Dragons campaign that our co-founders played in.

Do you have a showroom?

No, we do not operate any showrooms at this time. Showrooms cost a lot to run, so by being online-only we can offer more competitive pricing on our products. This is reflected in our transparent pricing model, which can be found on each of our product pages.

What is your returns policy?

Our goal is to make sure you’re satisfied. Contact us here within 30 days of receiving your order to initiate a return or exchange. Although we can’t guarantee a full refund in all cases, we will do our best to make things right. See our full return policy here.

Where do you ship?

We currently only offer shipping to customers in the United States. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii may be subject to higher shipping fees.

How do I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order before it ships by viewing your order using the link in your confirmation email, or by logging in to your Arcanium account. Alternatively, you can contact us here. Please include your order number and reason for cancellation in your message.

Where are your products made?

We believe that local manufacturing is beneficial for our product quality, our planet, and our community, which is why we try to make as much of our collection as we can in North America.

In the case of the 260 Hybrid Table, the woodworking, assembly, and packaging is done in Omro, Wisconsin by Black Wolf Design. The custom hardware components are made in California, the bearings are made in New Jersey, the felt play surface is made in Michigan, and the hinges are made in Japan.

Do you have any other products other than the 260 Hybrid Table?

We are working on exciting products both large and small! Sign up for our newsletter in the website footer to receive sneak peeks and first looks at our upcoming releases.

How do I best care for my Arcanium piece?

Product-specific care and maintenance instructions can be found on each product’s product page, but in general we recommend wiping down hard surfaces using a clean microfiber cloth dampened with warm water, or warm water mixed with a drop of dish soap like Dawn for bigger messes. In either case, dry immediately.

For wool felt surfaces, spot clean with cold water and a lint-free towel. Do not use cleaners or submerge wool felt in water.

What do I do if I’m missing a part in my package or lose a part?

If there is a part missing in your package when it arrives, let us know which part is missing by contacting us and we will send you a replacement part right away at no charge.

If a part has been lost or damaged, you can purchase a replacement by contacting us directly. Please include the description of the part in your message.

My order arrived damaged, what do I do?

Do not refuse delivery of your order. Take photos of the damage from multiple angles and contact us here. We’ll help you take care of it.

Can I get something in a different color?

For furniture items, we do take custom orders depending on the request. Please reach out and contact us for more information. We’d love to hear what you have in mind!

Do you ever have sales?

Our transparent pricing and online-only business model allow us to offer competitive pricing on high quality, heirloom quality products. We may offer slight discounts and promotions on occasion, but we do not plan on having seasonal sales.

You say your products are “sustainably sourced”. How are they exactly?

We pride ourselves on how diligent we are when selecting the materials and processes that go into a new product. Wood, metal, and natural materials like wool are more durable and more sustainable for the environment in the long run compared to plastic, particleboard, and other cheaper materials.

Our solid wood is sustainably sourced from North American forests, stainless steel is 100% recyclable, and natural wool does not generate microplastics like polyester wool does.
